=Export the Model in Blender= ==Installation== *Get the Blender 2.49b installation. *Download the [[http://www.xullum.net/lefthand/downloads/temp/BlenderExport.zip Blender Exporter]]. Further infos of this exporter can be found [http://www.ogre3d.org/tikiwiki/Blender+Exporter here] *Copy the the script ogremeshesexporter.py and all subdirectories either into ".blender/scripts" or the user defined scripts directory. *In the "Scripts Window" run "Scripts → Update Menus". ==Export the Meshes== *In the "3D View" select the mesh objects you want to export. Important is to rename your texture in tex_ID.png or tga. The id should be in Hexdecimal in order to know which textures are new in the texture folder. <gallery>Image:Export1.jpg</gallery> *Rename the object in the MDL name. <gallery>Image:Export2.jpg</gallery> * Do that also with the material name. <gallery>Image:Export3.jpg</gallery> *In the "Scripts Window" run "Scripts → Export → OGRE Meshes". Check the button "Game Material" and then press the "Export" button. <gallery>Image:Export4.jpg</gallery> *You will get a detailed log of the export process. All files are exported in the OGRE XML format. Use the OgreXMLConverter to convert the generated XML files to binary .mesh and .skeleton files. ==Modification outside of Blender== * It is quite important to delete some part of the line "solid/Tex/tex_0x411b.tga" into "tex_0x411b.tga" <gallery>Image:Export5.jpg</gallery> =Other Exporter= * http://www.ogre3d.org/download/tools <gallery>Image:Export6.jpg</gallery>
