=Export the Model in Blender= ==Installation== *Get the Blender 2.49b installation. *Download the [[http://www.xullum.net/lefthand/downloads/temp/BlenderExport.zip Blender Exporter]]. Further infos of this exporter can be found [http://www.ogre3d.org/tikiwiki/Blender+Exporter here] *Copy the the script ogremeshesexporter.py and all subdirectories either into ".blender/scripts" or the user defined scripts directory. *In the "Scripts Window" run "Scripts → Update Menus". ==Export the Meshes== *In the "3D View" select the mesh objects you want to export. Important is to rename your texture in tex_XXXXYYYYZ.png or tga. X represents the description of the tile in four letters Y in four letters the material or color and Z the number. You can find more about the naimg pattern on this[[How to make Textures and Skins for Iris 2|page]]. Just a note you have to change the size in "Edit Mode" and not "Object Mode". Else the size would not change. <gallery>Image:Export1.jpg</gallery> *Rename the object in the MDL name. <gallery>Image:Export2.jpg</gallery> * Do that also with the material name. <gallery>Image:Export3.jpg</gallery> *In the "Scripts Window" run "Scripts → Export → OGRE Meshes". Check the button "Game Material" and then press the "Export" button. Remember the Material File is not important. Because you have to type that on your own. However that is not difficult. <gallery>Image:Export4.jpg</gallery> *You will get a detailed log of the export process. All files are exported in the OGRE XML format. Use the OgreXMLConverter to convert the generated XML files to binary .mesh and .skeleton files. ==Modification outside of Blender== * It is quite important to delete some part of the line "solid/Tex/tex_XXXX-YYYY-Z.tga" into "tex_XXXX-YYYY-Z.tga" in the Mesh XML before you convert it into a mesh. <gallery>Image:Export5.jpg</gallery> * Copy the mesh in the models folder and the textures in the texture one. =Other Exporter= * http://www.ogre3d.org/download/tools '''Exporter:''' *[http://www.ofusiontechnologies.com/downloads.html oFusion Community Edition 1.8.6 for Max 7/8/9] ** Explanation: [http://www.ofusiontechnologies.com/exporter.html] * Forum for this exporter: [http://www.ogre3d.org/addonforums/viewtopic.php?t=5024] <br>
